HISTORY
BEAM started officially on Tuesday 5th October 2004 by 5pm in the 600level studio of the Department of Architecture, Federal University of Technology Minna Niger state. In attendance on the first day were Ashcroft Folorunsho, Stephen Matthew kolo, and Musa Nicholas. Abdulmalik Mariatu later joined the group.
The idea or concept behind ”BEAM” is to span the knowledge gap in the architectural education system in Nigeria. Presently, BEAM has just four members of which Musa Nicholas is the first secretary general of the group. BEAM is currently embarking on major projects and presentations that will culminate into July 2005.

FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY MNNA

The Federal University of technology is federally owned. It was established on 1st February 1983. The objectives for its establishment are to give effect to the nation’s drive for the much-needed self-reliance in science, engineering and especially technology. The mini campus is located along Bosso road where the department of Architecture currently is.
